Visit to Atlanta in 2025

In late February, we went on a trip to Atlanta, the center of the second level, to say hello and raise support. Thank you very much to everyone who welcomed us.

On the first day, we went to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. I, Yumi, have been to Atlanta several times, but this is the first time I have visited a place associated with Martin Luther King Jr.

The grave of Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife.

It was a moving experience to actually visit the place where I had seen historical events in my textbooks.

In the museum, there were exhibits of the clothes that Martin Luther King Jr. actually wore.

It was also a pleasure to meet the teachers of the Japanese church in the area.

There was a prayer meeting for ministry leaders at a Korean church in Atlanta. It was a meeting where local Christian leaders could gather, and we shared our “failure stories in ministry” in groups. I thought it was wonderful that even first-time members could honestly discuss difficult topics such as their failures. Each person’s failure story was very helpful.

I saw a mug rack at the Korean church we visited.

It’s so cute.

Tommy, of course, never misses a visit to a nice cafe ”to study”. He came to a cafe called The Salty.

With Stave, who spent a lot of time with me during my stay, including a ride. The doughnut on the desk is the cafe’s specialty, the Salty Doughnut.

It is a grace to make connections with churches and friends in various places.

It was a visit to Atlanta full of blessings!
